Freaking OUT!

so I'm freaking out cause Blake is in Florda with my parents, me and Ted are going on Saturday along with my sister and her boyfriend, but he(blake) is far far away from me for 4 whole days.

What shall I do with my free nights??? date nights with hubby, scrapbooking, watching movies, etc . . . well tonight we are cleaning the house - shampooing carpets and all - good times!!! Tomorrow I'm going to bingo, and then probably date night one night, actually now that I plan this out it really only gives me 1 free night and that will probably be packing for my trip!!

But I'm so excited for Blake too. I just got off the phone with him and he sounded so excited to be on this adventure with Grandma and Grandpa. What great grandparents my parents are :-)

The Circus

Today we went with Julie, Alexa, and Alexis to Bloomingtons Gamma Phi Circus. I was a little nervous if Blake would be into it since there were no animals and my answer to that question after being there is . . . lets just say his favorite part was

getting his face painted like a pirate! and then

getting this new sword, and then probably

eating popcorn, after we just had dippin dots!

He did like watching the trapese people and was really excited when they went back to their 'post' and he would always say 'yeah they made it' Hopefully he likes the Ringling Bros with animals, cause I already bought tickets to that one.

But I very much enjoyed the gamma phi circus and I'm amazed at what those people can do!

Fashion show Friday!

I LOVE shopping, but don't love spending money. so I always hit clearance racks, consignment stores and have recently started shopping at Goodwill, my co-worker Ann got me hooked and we get some great stuff there.

so the fashionista blogger does whole outfits for $15. I'm not always that good usually I'll piece some of my finds with regular stuff, but this week I wore 2 work outfits that were under that so here ya go:

I got these pants at Kohls for $7! - gotta love their clearance racks, and this sweater for $3 at walmart. It's over a year old and still looks pretty good!

Baby Got Back

with Spring Finally here - kind of - I decided to put away some of the thick sweaters and pull out the shorts and capris. and let me say people are not lying when they saw your body goes downhill in your 30's

.

This is the pile of shorts/crops that fit me last year that do not fit me this year, all cause of weight gained in my rear!!! I have done nothing different in my eating habits - just getting old and what happens, your metabilism slows.... not that I care about my weight. I just hate it when I have to give up cute clothes just cause they don't fit.

I'm trying to be a little more conscience about my eating habits and trying to drink more water, I know my downfall is soda, but it just tastes so much better than water. so hopefully by writing this it will make me more accountable for my actions and drink lots of water, less soda, and start walking more!

I spent my weekend resting to get over my illness - which was either the start of a cold or allergies - who knows. So as I am getting ready for the week I'm going thru these photos I took of Blake at daycare last week.
Spring/summer time is the best there cause of their awesome outdoor playground. They have the giant slides, playhouse, huge sandbox, sidewalk for sidewalk chalk, bikes, etc... But Blake told me his favorite thing to do there is 'to mow the grass'!

the thrill

After a year of cvsing - the thrill never goes away of getting good deals!

At first glance of the paper this week I didn't see anything that I had to have, except for the free body wash. But then I got a q e-mailed for $4 of $20 beauty purchase; then a b1g1 free q off purex, which was already b1g1 free so i did a quick run at lunch.
2 pantene hairspray
1 venus embrace razor
2 purex laundry detergent
1 softsoap bodywash
1 applejuice
2 gatorades
2 tootsie rolls bunches
1 cadberry egg - clearance easter item
1 bag choc covered peanut butter pretzel

my total was $45 something (ouch) - handed over my 3 q's (beuty q, purex, and a embrace razor) and my 10 ecbs,
my total was $10.89 not bad seeing I really didn't have that many q's and it was a quick trip with lots of last minute throw-ins, plus I got $11 ecbs for next trip.

Blake and Brandon

Blake had so much fun with his cousin Brandon over Easter. Brandon taught Blake how to throw sticks over the deck and into the lake and Blake was all about being with Brandon. I felt sorry for Brandon at times cause if he wasn't with Blake for even a second, Blake was yelling, 'Brandon where are you?'

My Cake

I saw this cake online, on someone's blog (some random when I goggled for another cake) I thought it was so cool I made it for Easter. Most of my guests thought it was just a bowl with m&m's - lol! just showing off my domestic abilities!

Mission Organization

so this was our basement. It actaully started out pretty nice, with a bar and the big tv, was supposed to be a good place to hang out. Well then we had so many toys that I was always sticking toys down there and the next thing ya know - this is what it looked like! I also have an area down there that I scrapbook in and so me and Blake would go down there once in awhile for that, but it got to the point that Ted did not want to go down there at all.

so I went to Big Lots and bought this cube/shelf thing for all of Blake's toys and TA DA!

Darn you

Big Lots scrapbooking aisle!!!! I ran into Big Lots today during lunch to buy a cube organizer thing for our basement. I tried to just go to my item, check out, and leave, but there was a line and I thought I'll just browse their scrapbook stuf - note I have already gone to Hobby Lobby this week, so of course I don't need any scrapbook stuff, but scrapbook stuff is one my big weaknesses. everything his like $2 or so, so you grab one of these and then one of those, etc... and the next thing you know you have spent $20 (or more) on stickers and stuff!!! so yes I caved and got some letter stickers and a bunch of chipboard stuff and now I'm feeling guilty that I wasn't strong; what can I say: I'm weak???

Blake LOVES going to his Auntie's house, playing in her big yard and with her dog, Spartacus, and cats, which he was renamed dinno (aka - Dimino) and Zenna (aka Zenith). Last week she had him over for a sleep over and then watched him during the day while I was working and she e-mailed this photo. She said he asked for milk in his bowl with no cereal and then he put it on the floor and said he was a doggy liked Spartacus!

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to the Easter Egg Hunt this morning at the FRC. Blake got so excited when he saw the Easter Bunny and said 'will you take a picture of me with that rabbit' (yeah so excited cause ya know I love takin pictures)


of course he loved getting the eggs with candy!

MIA

Saturday morning me, my mom, and Blake went garage saleing and I got Blake a Care Bear DVD, I bought quite a few things come home take everything out of the bag and start sorting through them, etc. - thought I remember seeing the dvd, but when I went to play it for Blake - can't find it???? I have looked high and low for that dvd - it's MIA. I'm so annoyed by this . . . it's as if I blog about it, it will magically appear.
the other reason this is bugging me is cause I bought this shirt about a year ago that I loved and I never wore it and it became MIA. I searched for it in my closet, practically clearing the whole closet out, and the laundry room - never found it. I even went to the store to buy a new one - none in my size! so this mia dvd reminds me of that and makes me wonder - where are these things going????
