Potty Head

Yes that is the 'mini toilet seat' on Blake's head that we bought him for potty training. Since he would rather wear it on his head as a hat than sit on it on the toilet, that tells me we have a long more time in diapers!

Nosey

I had heard stories about how little boys love to put things up their nose, well the other day Blake was carrying around one of his bears (from previous posts) and then starts crying that his nose hurts, so I'm kissing it to make it feel better and then he starts crying about his eye? I told him he was falling apart . . .
He then wanted me to blow his nose - which was odd and out came one of the eyes from the bears! He stuck it up his nose! Funny - yet scary too! I laughed a little, and then told him not to stick stuff up his nose, hopefully he won't do it again!

Blake's creations

Blake LOVES to do crafty things; use scissors, markers, glue sticks etc. . . We went to a Valentine playdate where Jessica, the host, had the most adorable valentines. Most of the kids did one and then went back and played, but Blake had to do his, his own way and we got these lovely creations! He was so into it, he kept going until all of the supplies were gone! He really loved the eyes - if ya can't tell - lol!

In my next life . .

I want to be a professional photographer. Here is my attempt to take some random photos of Blake, but he kept saying 'cheese' and running the random effect.

Here is him with his 'tuba' - as he calls it (thanks to Elmo and Backyardigans), and his cool new hat, both of which we purchased at Family Fest.

Misson Mart

I just had to show off my cool things I got all for $16!!! I LOVE to shop, but I don't like to spend money (not a good combo) so I have got hooked on thrift store/resale shopping. (plus it gives me such a high to get good deals!) so last week I had my first visit to Mission Mart. Blake was with me and he piced up the travel lightbright and played with it the whole time we were shopping. He kept asking me where we were, I told him Mission Mart, and then he would say, 'well I like it here'. So for $16 I got these jeep umbrella stroller $6 - my big purchase. a gap shirt, some carter, osh ksoh, and some random shirts for Blake, a pair of Children place pants, shoes and a shirt for me and a video for Blake. He has played with that light bright every day!

Bowling

It's so cool now that Blake is old enough to do fun activities, and I was so excited to take him bowling! We went with the moms group and as soon as we walked in he was all about it. We bowled on a lane with Kassie, her husband, Danny, and Colin. It was pretty exhausting so I'm glad they were there to help me. He did pretty good and kept waving 'bye' to the ball as it rolled down the lane. One game took us about an hour and a half and after that I was so ready for a nap. There was about 5 lanes of moms group people, but the rest of the bowling alley was full and Blake kept trying to hang out with random people - not even the other 5 of our lanes??? That night I told Blake to tell Daddy about bowling and all he says is, 'my ball was pink!' gotta love the simple life of a 2 year old!

Hackey rides and knock knock jokes

Lately Blake has been cracking me up with his funny things he comes up with. First of all he has renamed the piggy back ride and calls it a 'hackey ride' and always asks for hackey rides. This pic is of Ted giving him hackey rides around the house.
Also at daycare his teachers were telling me how he funny he is and they are pretty sure he will be the class clown. Well the other day he put his truck in the closet and says, 'knock knock' I thought it was going to be about getting his truck out of the closet, so I said, 'whos there' he said, 'banana' - I asked 'banana who' - he started giggling and did it again, after the 3rd time he was laughing so hard I couldn't tell what he was saying and ran off falling on the floor laughing. I just never thought Blake would be 2 1/2 when he told me his first joke! ( I asked his daycare teacher if they did jokes at school - they don't where he got it from?)
Other funny things he has been saying,
'oh come on' - when he wants his way with something
'Hey - I have an idea' - but when I ask him his idea he never has one, so I don't think he knows what he is talking about.
and lastly
'what's going on here'
Maybe it's the tone he uses, but they are pretty funny!
